As part of the spring 2025 flood and stormwater passage preparations, the management of JSC "Dosjan Temir Joly" conducted a working visit to the Shar – Novoust-Kamenogorsk railway section. The primary purpose of the visit was to monitor the implementation of organizational and technical measures aimed at ensuring the safe movement of passenger and freight trains during the spring snowmelt period.
Key Activities Conducted During the Inspection:
Verification of drainage systems – checking the clearance of inlet and outlet water pipes and channels to ensure the unobstructed passage of meltwater.
Inspection of engineering structures, including bridges, drainage systems, and constructions, to assess possible damage and their readiness for floodwater passage.
Assessment of the track bed, ballast prism, and railway infrastructure in sections prone to washouts.
Evaluation of personnel preparedness for rapid response in case of flood-related complications.
Briefing and coordination of emergency and maintenance crews to ensure quick and effective response to potential incidents.
