Unsupervised grazing cattle near the railway often causes disruption of the stable operation of railway transport. A collision with an animal lead not only to the death of livestock, but also to financial losses of the Company associated with damage to the locomotive and tracks, as well as has an impact on the safety of passengers. Such cases lead to delays of freight and passenger trains.
On the railway line Shar-Novoustkamenogorsk (NUK) 151 km there is a fence with a total length of 260 400 m (coverage 86.2_%), of which on the left side – 129 600_ m (coverage 85.8%), on the right side - 130 800 m (coverage 86.6%).
In order to improve traffic safety, the Joint-Stock Company plans to build a wire fence on the Shar–Novoustkamenogorsk railway line this year, protecting the railway track from neglected cattle on the Shar – Saryzhal stages - 1300 meters, at the Saryzhal station - 1000 meters, at the Shalabai stations – 2000 meters, the Shalabai-Bursak Stage - 300 meters, a siding Bursak – 300 meters, Bursak – Ekasha stage – 200 meters, at Ekasha stations – 700 meters, Ayyrtau – Ulan stage - 600 meters, Ulan crossing – 400 meters.
