Despite the ongoing preventive work with the population, the facts of grazing near the railway continue. Since the beginning of this year, 50 alarms have been registered by drivers of passenger and freight trains. Of these, emergency braking - 21, including 4 cases of collision with livestock.
Due to the irresponsibility of the owners, livestock is allowed on the railway track, both single heads and a herd. Employees of the "East-Kazakhstan branch" of JSC "Dosjan temir joly" are concerned about the increased cases of neglected grazing cattle on the railway track. This creates a direct threat to the safety of train traffic and the lives of passengers, can lead to derailment of train cars, causing harm to the health and death of people on the train, as well as the environment due to the transport of dangerous goods by rail.
Each case of collision with livestock entails serious consequences. According to Article 559 of the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Administrative Offenses, violation of the rules for grazing cattle - entails a warning or a fine in the amount of five monthly calculation indices. So, to date, a written warning has been issued to 2 owners of neglected livestock in the amount of 5 MCI.
