Water control - a system of organizational and technical measures for the preparation of track facilities and water supply facilities for the passage of spring and storm water.
Water control on the railway is one of the most important tasks to ensure the safety of train traffic in the spring and summer. Extensive melting of snow masses poses a serious danger to train traffic. In the event that the culverts are not prepared on time, large volumes of melt water, accumulating near the railway, can at least deform the rail track, and as a maximum, completely wash out the track section.
On the railway section of Dosjan temir joly JSC, work is actively carried out to pass melt water. In order to ensure the uninterrupted and safe movement of trains, timely preparation of the track, artificial structures for the passage of spring ice drift and flood waters in 2023, order No. 58 of 02/20/2023 was issued. Organizational and technical measures were approved to prepare for the passage of spring flood and storm water through the East Kazakhstan branch of Dosjan temir joly JSC.
Also, according to the organizational and technical measures, the following works were performed on the site:
1. Round-the-clock duty was organized, daily trips to the Shar-Novoustkamenogorsk section, in order to control, identify possible dangerous places of erosion, flooding and accumulation of water.
2. Working groups have been created to pass flood waters at all separate points.
3. A list of dangerous places for the site has been approved.
4. Timely snow removal and removal, water drainage from the territory of residential, service and technical buildings and station centralization posts are organized at stations and separate points.
5. A stock of the necessary tools, materials and overalls for the needs of waterfighting has been prepared.
To date, in the Shar-Novoustkamenogorsk section, snow has been cleared of entrances and exits from small bridges and pipes, upland ditches, ditches in recesses with the involvement of tractor equipment. A full-scale inspection of hydraulic structures was carried out with the preparation of acts, together with the organizations involved, representatives of the akimat of the Zharma and Ulan districts.
