There is always one vital question for high school students: “Who I want to be?” It is in our time that this problem acquires a very important meaning, since fierce competition in the labor market makes schoolchildren think about this issue. The correct answer to it affects the entire future fate of a person. It is difficult not to get confused, to orient yourself correctly, to find your place in the vast world of professions, especially for a young person who has graduated from school. He must choose a profession that is important to him, necessary for society and corresponding to the needs and interests of the labor market. Career guidance is designed to help a young man or young girl find their place in life.
On March 25, 2023, at the Novoustkamenogorsk station, representatives of the East Kazakhstan branch of JSC “Dosjan temir joly”, together with representatives of the College of Transport and Life Safety and the management of the Novoustkamenogorsk station of the branch of KTZH-GP LLP, met with schoolchildren 9-11 grades of the orphanage "Umit".
During this meeting, the children were told in detail about professions and specialties, directions and rules for admission, organization of theoretical and practical training, about the scholarship system, employment of graduates. In more detail, with a visual demonstration at the workplace, the children were told about such positions as station duty officer, wagon inspector, commodity cashier, cargo acceptance officer, communications mechanic, shunting locomotive driver.
The high school students received answers to all their questions. During the conversation, it was noted that railway transport is a big friendly family, where newly hired workers acquire practical skills. Here we are always happy to welcome new employees and help them grow as professionals, as well as promote their personal growth.
Within the framework of such meetings, the children have the opportunity to design their educational activities when choosing a future profession. At the end of the meeting, high school students received informational handouts.
