Today in Astana, JSC "Dosjan Temir Joly", the Japanese company RIKEN KOGYO INC., and LLP "Tokyo Rockbox Almaty" held important negotiations.
The main topic of discussion was the implementation of modern technologies for railway snow protection.

A leader in snow protection technologies, which developed the first steel snow protection barrier in Japan over 50 years ago.
By 2018, the company had installed 1,100 km of protective structures, preventing snow drifts and ensuring uninterrupted railway operations.

Installation of weather monitoring stations on railway sections (Shar – Novoust-Kamenogorsk) to track climate conditions.
Development of a pilot project to test snow protection technologies in the most challenging weather conditions.
Next Steps:
Signing of an NDA between the parties.
Formation of a working group to develop an implementation roadmap.
Identification of test sites for protective structures.
Discussion on localizing the production of snow protection barriers in Kazakhstan.
